Day 24: Cycle to Nyalilpuch
Where on earth is Nyalilpuch? You might well ask. Well, it is perched on a ledge above Lake Bogoria.
Here is a map of our route over the last 6 days. We started on the red line at the bottom of the picture and the days switch between red and blue (except there are 2 reds in a row at one point!)
And near a place called Solai we went through a huge macadamia nut plantation.
Being a geographer, Tom couldn't pass this erosion by without stopping. It looks like a relief model of an entire mountain range.
We came over the final hill to find Lake Bogoria spread out below us. There are no car tracks to this camping spot, so we don't think it's is frequented by many travellers. The dryland forest spreads as far as the eye can see.
Good to see you guys back on the road
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the mix of nature & human pics! Incredible aerial photo - I guess you’d left the drone at home so it was a hard earned climb!
ReplyDeleteYes, love the last photo, superb especially sitting in overbuilt Bristol! The erosion image great too. Good luck and keep us posts
ReplyDeleteOh that last comment from Chris Horwood
ReplyDeletePresume that stretch of water is the Hobbs' modest reservoir at Tambusi....
